Frequently asked questions

What matters before confirming

These answers explain the general process. The final details that apply to your service will appear in the corresponding quote and confirmation.

Before booking

Does the quote reserve my date?

No. The quote is informational. We first review availability and logistics; the booking is confirmed once the deposit has been received and validated.

How far in advance should I request the service?

As early as possible, especially for weekends, high season and special dates. You may also ask about a nearby date; availability will depend on our schedule and the location.

How much is the deposit?

The amount appears in your quote or request because it may vary by service. Do not send a payment until you receive availability confirmation and the corresponding instructions.

Can you perform a song outside your regular repertoire?

We can review special repertoire requests. Send us the song title, the exact artist or version, the event date and the moment when you would like it performed. A song outside our regular repertoire may require arranging, individual study and a rehearsal with the full group, so approval depends on sufficient preparation time, musical feasibility and acceptance of an additional preparation fee. The song is confirmed only after Mariachi Gran Reserva approves it in writing. If it cannot be prepared properly, we will suggest alternatives from our regular repertoire.

Venue, permits and access

What should I confirm if the event is at a hotel?

Ask the concierge or front desk whether outside vendors are allowed, how many musicians may enter and whether the hotel requires a specific schedule or area, a union permit or an outside-vendor fee. When the quote identifies a hotel that requires a union permit, MGR will arrange it and its cost is already included. Fees charged directly by the hotel, such as an outside-vendor fee, are the client's responsibility unless the quote expressly states otherwise.

Can you perform at restaurants, residential communities or churches?

Yes, we can perform at restaurants, residential communities and churches when the location authorizes live mariachi music. For restaurants, confirm your table or event reservation and permission for live music. For residential communities, arrange the musicians' access in advance. For churches, obtain authorization from the priest or church coordinator.

Do you perform on yachts and catamarans?

Yes. Before confirming, we need to validate the marina, departure time, dock access, available space and the number of musicians permitted on the yacht or catamaran.

Is transportation included?

It depends on the area and service selected. The quote will show when transportation, ferry tickets or other additional logistics are required.

Payments and coordination

Which payment methods do you accept?

Your request will display the available options, such as bank transfer or card payment through a secure link. The record clearly separates the deposit, actual payment-processing fees and the remaining service balance.

When is the remaining balance due?

The due date and payment method appear in your service confirmation. This allows you to distinguish the deposit already received from the amount still outstanding.

What information is coordinated after the deposit?

Event contact, exact location, access instructions, the person receiving the musicians and any information needed for the performance. Special services may also require venue permits and additional logistics.

Remote booking and card payments

Requirements that protect the booking and support the payment

When the booking is completed remotely or the service is paid by card, we will request additional documentation before final confirmation.

Which documents are required?

The client must submit the signed contract together with a valid government-issued photo ID belonging to the person making the booking. This information is used to validate the agreement and support the card charge.

When must the service be fully paid?

Your private tracking link will show the balance and agreed payment method. Unless it confirms cash payment at the end, the balance must be paid before the performance begins. If you choose cash at the end, give it to the MGR representative after the service.

Who is responsible for venue permits and authorizations?

The client must obtain and verify the venue's authorization, access approval and any fee charged directly by the venue. When the quote states that a union permit applies, MGR will arrange it and its cost is included. If the venue prevents the performance because requirements assigned to the client were not arranged or approved satisfactorily, the situation is outside Mariachi Gran Reserva's responsibility and payments already made are non-refundable.

Changes and weather

Can I change the time or location?

Request the change as soon as possible. Every change is reviewed according to availability, travel time and the conditions of the new location; it is not confirmed until we accept it.

What happens if the event is outdoors and the weather changes?

Beach experiences and other outdoor services depend on local conditions. Before the service, we will review feasible alternatives with you. Any adjustment will be handled according to the booking stage and the terms stated in your confirmation.

What happens if the event is delayed?

Notify us immediately. Whether the musicians can wait or move the performance time depends on our schedule, travel commitments and the service duration booked, so it must be confirmed with our team.
